Developing Advert campaing + Planning for pitch.

Target audience: Either boy's or girl's within the age range of 14-18, i believe either can fit what i want the advert to look like although a few things would need to be changed accordingly.

  • My soft drink campaign and advert is going to based on sports and health as when i done my research and questionaire, i found that these factors interesed people more than other options. i believe that we can make a good advert encoparating these factors.
  • I want the name to be one or two worded yet something that will stick in your mind, something original. I think that the drink's name doesn't need to be revolved around sport but needs to be short and sharpy, it would also be good to try and add things such as onomatopoeia.
  • I think that a slogan thats sharp and catchy is needed and should also tie in with the advert theme.
Outline of my intentions
  • I want the soft drink to be some form of an energy drink tied in with sports.
  • I think that it would be good to see somebody playing not very well at a sport aka basketball or football and see them take a sip of the drink.
  • Use animation. This will add a background to the advert to show that an effect is happening on the main person in the advert. The colours of this animation can change according to sex.
  • We then see the person playing and doing so much better than they first well e.g now able to score goals, run faster and for longer or even able to get the ball in the basketball hoop's etc.
  • The advert should have a range of long shots of the drink being on the bench before having a medium close-up of the drink being drunk.
  • The advert should start of quite dark and gloomy until the drink is introduced.
  • Lastly the commercial with have a commical side to it.
Profile on target audience.
  • Either a boy or girl whos interesed in sports (most commonly be a boy.
  • Possibly somebody who feels quite competitive and this drink would appeal to them making them feel like they could improve when drinking it etc.
  • The person would be quiet bubbly too, the commercial would be light hearted and it would go along well with the typical person who would buy the product.
Music
The music used will start of slow and pick up the pace as it goes along, this could be done by finding two different edits of a song, the original followed by a remix...etc.
The rest of the sounds and audio will be realistic to whats going on for example the sound of the chosen sport. I think that we should add voice overs saying the slogans and the name of the drink, this could be done in either a singular voice or a group of people talking.

To try and appeal to my target audience;
  • I will have the main character somebody within the age range aswell as the people they're playing with.
  • The clothes i will make people wear will be typical to the age range in which i'm trying to target.
  • Using keywords, slogans and names that are suitable for teenagers will help draw them in - could use "text" language?
  • Ill make the commerical light hearted and not very wordy
  • I'll use current music that's in the charts as this will help stick out to my target audience.
I think that using things such as grading and mild animation will help the advert to look good, stand out and be creative. This will also help it be appropriate for my target audience.
